Following on from hello, overflow — a quick note on the setup, since it’s a little unusual.
The git history for this site is private. The built site is public. That
split exists on purpose: writing should feel like scratch space, not a
performance. Drafts can sit half-finished on main for weeks — they’re just
marked draft: true in frontmatter and filtered out of the build — without
ever being visible to anyone but me.
What is public is everything once it’s actually finished, cross-linked the way the post before this one is linked here: two posts, same tag, now showing up on each other as backlinks and as neighbors in the graph view, automatically, because that’s what the tag and the link say about them.
